This article is about Weapon upgrade slots. For Weapon upgrades, see Chip.

Sockets are Weapon upgrade slots. Chips are placed in sockets to give the weapon upgrades.
There are two types of socket: Advanced Sockets, and Standard Sockets. All sockets have a socket bonus, which is a applied when a chip's mark (icon) matches the mark of its socket.

Advanced Sockets[edit]

Every weapon has an advanced upgrade slot.
Advanced sockets have higher socket bonuses compared to standard slots.

Standard Sockets[edit]

Weapons of uncommon Quality have one standard upgrade slot. Weapons of subsequent qualities gives the weapon one more standard upgrade slot.
Standard sockets have small socket bonuses.

Socket Bonuses[edit]

Every socket has a mark. When a chip with the same mark is inserted into the slot, a socket bonus is applied. A weapon's socket bonuses and a chip's mark are both predetermined, but a weapon's socket marks are random. Bonuses depend on whether the socket is standard or advanced.
A list of socket bonuses is below:
