Mastery Levels measure how much Experience a Profession has gained. Unlike Efficiency, a profession's mastery level cannot decrease.
There are five distinct mastery levels: Newbie, Journeyman Craftsman, Expert, and Master. Players are beginners of their profession by default.

Bonuses[edit]

Upon increasing a profession's mastery level, that profession will recieve permanent bonuses. These bonuses are different for Gathering Professions and Crafting Professions.

Gathering Professions[edit]

Each time a gathering profession's (or Cooking's) mastery level increases, the next tier of that profession's corresponding resource nodes will be unlocked (up to tier 3).
