Crafting is the process of combining items to make equipment, upgrades, or Consumables. There are 4 crafting professions: Alchemy, Constructor, Mysticism, and Weaponsmithing.
Gathering Professions can also use the crafting system to refine gathered materials.
Process[edit]
Crafting is usually done at the profession's respective Workbench or at the Synthesis Machine. Campfires and Joints can be crafted without access to crafting stations.
The progress made when crafting a particular item is shown in a bar that appears above the skill menu. The progress bar does not move at a fixed speed. The item begins as common-Quality, with a chance upgrade to an epic-or-lower item whilst the progress bar is moving.
Using Workbenches[edit]
Crafting recipes are required when crafting at workbenches. To craft any item using a crafting profession, the appropriate workbench must be used. Interact with the workbench to open up the corresponding profession's crafting panel.
To craft an item, click on the item's name on the list on the left-hand side. The search bar and filter options can be used to find relevant recipes. Players can select the quantity to craft then press the "create" button to craft it.
Using the Synthesis Machine[edit]
Players can access the synthesis machine via any workbench, then selecting the "Synthesis Machine" tab at the bottom-left.
When using the synthesis machine, crafting recipes are not required. It is used for improving item quality, changing an item's attributes, or altering its appearance.
To improve the results of the synthesis machine, players can add valuable resources.
- To upgrade appearance, combine the original item with Upgrade Kits.
Bonuses[edit]
Crafting bonuses can be achieved in the following ways:
- Higher efficiency increases the chance of crafting items with higher Gear Score.
- Higher mastery level gives bonuses when using items related to the profession.
Rewards[edit]
Upon crafting an item, the player is rewarded with increased Experience and Efficiency for the corresponding profession. A Crafting profession's efficiency will only increase if craft an item with high gear score relative to their current Mastery Level.
Experience[edit]
Upon crafting an item, the player is rewarded with experience. Experience gained depends on the type of item:
- For consumables or refined items, the experience gained depends on the quality of the item.
- For items with Gear Score, experience gained is equal to that item's gear score.
- For Chips and Runes, experience gained is constant for each item. It does not depend on quality.
