This article is about Profession Masteries. For Weapon Masteries, see Mastery.

Mastery Levels measure how much Experience a Profession has gained. Unlike Efficiency, a profession's mastery level cannot decrease.
There are three distinct mastery levels: Beginner, Advanced, and Master. Players are beginners of their profession by default.

Bonuses

Upon increasing a profession's mastery level, that profession will recieve permanent bonuses. These bonuses are different for Gathering Professions and Crafting Professions.

Gathering Professions

Each time a gathering profession's (or Cooking's) mastery level increases, the next tier of that profession's corresponding resource nodes will be unlocked (up to tier 3).
There are 5 mastery levels in total:

Newbie Enables gathering of Tier 1 veins.
Journeyman Enables gathering of Tier 2 veins.
Craftsman Enables gathering of Tier 3 veins.

Crafting Professions

Increasing a crafting profession's mastery level increases its profession-specific bonus:

Newbie 3 (one-minute duration or longer) consumables can be active at once.
Journeyman 4 consumables can be active at once.
Craftsman 5 consumables can be active at once. Crafting time reduced by 2 seconds.

Journeyman 5% additional power to wielded artifacts.
Craftsman 10% additional power to wielded artifacts. Crafting time reduced by 2 seconds.
